From link to launch.

Creating a branded QR code takes four short steps in the generator. After that, your code keeps working for you — tracked, editable, and under your control.

In the generator

    Destination

    Paste the link the code should open.

    • Enter the destination URL — broken or malformed links are flagged before you can continue
    • For saved codes, optionally add a password, an expiration date, or a scan limit
  2. 02

    Brand

    Bring in your logo and colors.

    • Upload your logo; Dotbox samples its colors to build a matching palette
    • Optionally add a background image behind the code
    • Or start from a preset palette or one of the example styles
  3. 03

    Customize

    Tune the code until it looks like your brand.

    • Pick from ten dot styles and three finder-eye shapes
    • Set corner colors, the background, the logo size, and its backing shape
    • Everything redraws live as you adjust it
  4. 04

    Export

    Download it, save it, or both.

    • Download as PNG or SVG — or PDF on Pro and Business — at print resolution
    • Or name it and save it to your dashboard, with a free account if you don't have one yet
    • Saved codes run through a Dotbox short link, so they can be paused or protected, and on Pro and Business pointed somewhere new

After launch

Place it

Put the code on packaging, menus, signage, tickets, or business cards. Test-scan it with a couple of phones before a large print run.

Track it

On Pro and Business, watch scans by day, device, and country in your dashboard. Business adds browser and peak-hour breakdowns, CSV export, and cross-code comparison.

Update or retire it

Change the destination without reprinting (Pro and Business), pause it for a while, or let it expire automatically on a date or after a set number of scans.

Static or dynamic — what you get

On the free Starter plan your saved code works and can be paused, password-protected, or set to expire. Upgrading to Pro or Business unlocks changing the destination after printing and the scan analytics dashboard — on codes you've already placed, with nothing to reprint.
